Last Friday, we launched ‘Relentless’ our monthly youth gathering which focusses on worship, connection and equipping our teenagers to live a life fully connected to God.
We were thrilled to have 34 young people come to our first relentless! The evening started, as all good evenings do, with donuts and cookies before the program kicked off, hosted by youth leaders Dave and Hannah. Pete Glasby led our live band and Tony Grainge brought a short talk entitled ‘God is real’, but not before he was interviewed in a ‘meet the speaker’ section by teenager Gabe.
We caught up with our Youth team to find out how it went…
Q – How did it go?
A – It was fantastic. The worship was loud! By the end the whole place was jumping, it was amazing! There was a chance to respond at the end and I would say most responded and felt they encountered God.
Q – What exited you most
A – How hungry and excited the youth were to get stuck in. How God met with them. The freedom in the room to dance !The unity.
Q – What is your heart for future events –
A – To see the young people developing in their gifting shaping their meetings, moving in the prophetic, prayer, worship and leadership. To see our young people developing their own faith and encountering God. Having a generation that is on fire for God that affects the church and beyond!
