Esther 4: 14-15
14 For if you keep silent at this time, relief and deliverance will rise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. And who knows whether you have not come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”
I vividly remember the first miracle in prayer I received as an 8-year-old girl in India. I was upset that my siblings got new clothes as gifts from my cousin who visited us from overseas leaving me with no gifts (by accident). Mom convinced me that God sees my tears and asked me to pray for a dress. Within 24 hours, we were greeted by a family friend who gifted me a new dress! Apparently, the dress brought for the friend’s sister was too small, but to all our surprise, it fitted me perfectly! It was unbelievable to fathom that I was positioned as the girl with the right size for the right dress, though it was bought for someone else. The fact I did not realise was that God had positioned me strategically to receive His favour, so that seeds of faith are sown in me.
In God’s perfect plan, He has a place and position for us. The question is: Are we radically open to be positioned by God wherever, whenever He requires us?
“God is not looking for people of great faith but for individuals ready to follow Him” (Hudson Taylor).
His blessing over you is not just meant to keep you happy and prosperous, but to make you a blessing and influence to those around you. You are ‘sui generis’ – uniquely positioned by God and for God’s purpose of deliverance and salvation. Like Queen Esther, God is calling for His representatives in various spheres of influence. These folks bring seeds of revival in that sphere because they are exactly in the place where God wants them to be.
