Psalm 133
“How good and pleasant it is
when God’s people live together in unity!
It is like precious oil poured on the head, running down on the beard,
running down on Aaron’s beard, ….
It is as if the dew of Hermon were falling on Mount Zion.
For there the Lord bestows his blessing, even life forevermore.“
Isn’t it joyous that we are called as a church this autumn towards a season of reconnection? The COVID-19 pandemic caused nations/UN to proclaim a time for unity, when they realized the enemy that mattered is only the virus! Solidarity was called for, to stop this ‘enemy’ and its shattering consequences.
The picture of unity in Psalm 133 is a beautiful and powerful picture than the idea of unity of the world. This is a picture of anointing (power) bestowed on the High priests, a mark of freshness like the Dew on Mount Zion and the confirmation of God’s blessing and life in full. If we expect a shift in the momentum of winning souls and building Christ’s Body, we need to stand united against our only enemy Satan. God is calling us to rejoice and weep together, prompted by His love for us. This ain’t a superficial unity, but fireproof and deep to bestow God’s showers of blessing!
Activity:
Take time to call up or invite to your home someone to reconnect this week. Seek a prophetic Word for the person as God’s sign of your unity in Christ.

The Holy Spirit is calling us:
To open ourselves to Christ’s glorious riches to build a united, powerful community of diverse backgrounds.
To be rooted in the 4-dimensional love of Christ and overflow with it, to love all sorts of people.

Pray:
- The Psalm 133 picture of unity over your family, Community Group and the wider church /churches in Teesside.
- That pre-believers around us would see the power and aroma of Christ’s unconditional love in our church – across cultures, age groups and backgrounds.
- That we Christians would offer governments and secular institutions the Biblical model of unity and submission in love.
- A fresh Holy Spirit anointing of love over TVC Church and Teesside churches to unleash faith and supernatural into the region.
