We are thrilled to be able to welcome you to our Carol Service this coming Sunday!

Whether you come regularly to The Oakwood Centre, or are brand new, everyone is really very welcome, as we join together to Celebrate Christmas.

Here is all the info, so that you know what to expect!

The Service

Our service will begin at 7 pm and will take place in our contemporary seated auditorium, which has a capacity of 850 people. We are expecting it to be busy so feel free to arrive early, so that you can get a good seat! You are welcome to sit anywhere you like.

The service will be hosted by Terry & Ann Young, members of our leadership team, with Carols provided by our live band. Throughout the service, we will pray together, hear from scripture and our Senior Leader, Martin Dunkley will share a Christmas message. We have included a variety of creative multimedia elements to make the service easy to follow, enjoyable, and to help you to participate with the songs and scriptures.

Our service is relaxed and everybody is free to stand or sit as they wish and to join in as they feel able.

After the Service

The service will finish at 8:30 pm and then we invite you to join us for refreshments, which will be served free of charge in our Sports Hall. Stewards will be on hand to direct you through to where we will have festive mulled punch (non-alcoholic), as well as tea and coffee, plus mince pies and other festive treats.

Everybody is invited to stay!

If this is your first visit, make sure you drop by our welcome hub to grab a welcome pack – we would love to say hi!

Frequently Asked Questions…

Where is the service held?

Tees valley Community Church is based at The Oakwood Centre, which is just inside the Durham Lane industrial Estate in Eaglescliffe.  If this is your first time visiting us, click here for more info on how to find us and car parking etc.

Will the service be live streamed?

Yes, our service will also be streamed online via YouTube and Facebook for those who are not able to join us in person. Streaming takes place from fixed cameras that are focussed on the stage, though those in the middle section may occasionally be in view. If you have any questions about this, please ask one of the stewards on arrival.

Are children welcome?

Children are very welcome.  However, due to the nature of this service, we do not have any children’s provision available and we ask that children stay with parents throughout the service.

Do you take a collection?

At Christmas we like to provide the opportunity for people to give to a Charity that we support, if they wish. This year our Christmas Appeal will go directly to someone our friends in Ukraine who continue to be on the ground supporting people through the continuing war.

If you would like to give towards this, you can bring cash, give online or at our card machine (which is located in the main foyer).
