Opportunities to Play Your Part.
TVC Church is a large family, with many different ministries, activities and opportunities to extend the kingdom of God.
Of course…this all takes a lot of behind the scenes organisation.
Could you give time on a regular basis to play your part?
Reaching out to others is one of our core values here at TVC Church and as a result, we are seeing people turn to Christ every week.
Alpha is one of the key tools that we use to reach people with the life changing news of Jesus. It comes with wonderful ready-made resources, but there is some organisational work that needs to happen behind the scenes to align those seeking Jesus with group leaders, space to meet and the correct materials for the week.
If you are somebody who is organised, happy to communicate with a variety of people and confident to send regular emails, texts or make phone calls – then you could play a vital part in helping people to meet with Jesus.
We currently have two fantastic facilities that are used for a wide variety of kingdom advancing activities!
The Oakwood Centre is home to our TVC Church Sunday gatherings but it is also open throughout the week as a training centre for our Three13 learners, Coffee shop (which serves our local community) and many other purposes, such as children’s outreach groups, alpha, discipleship, prayer and staff offices.
The Shack is home to our Community Grocery, but it is also an extremely busy community hub that hosts weekly lunch clubs, youth groups, alpha’s, community courses and Sunday gatherings.
Both these venues require practical support.
Are you somebody who is handy, who could give a few hours a month to maintain these buildings and all the resources that they house? Do you have a particular love of cleaning and would love to get your hands on the occasional deep clean? Would you be able to offer support in looking after the outdoor areas of these facilities?
Relaunched in September 2021, Our Coffee Shop is a real presence in our Community.
With opportunities to connect with those attending outreach groups, Three13 learners or those in our local community who pop in for a cuppa, there are many real opportunities to show God’s love to those in our locality and to reach out to them.
Are you available during the week to be part of the team? This could be in a customer facing role or as part of the kitchen staff.
