Eden Ragworth & Primrose Hill

Bringing Compassionate Transformation.

The Eden team, led by Paul Connor who lives in the heart of this community.

As TVC Church, we own a building in the area, which we have called ‘The Shack’.  It operates as a hub for community engagement. The team meet regularly at The Shack to run a whole host of activities which promote connection and courses that are designed to upscale people’s life skills.  It is a real hub of community activity that is focussed on building relationships and sharing God’s love.

Since our Community Grocery is also on site at The Shack, many of our activities, events and courses run for the Grocery customers, as well as those who live locally.

Here is a taste of an average week at with the Ragworth Eden team:

Tasty Tuesdays

Every Tuesday, the Shack is open from 10am till 1pm for anybody from our local community to drop by for a bacon butty, a pastry or even just a cuppa and a chat.

We love just getting to know our neighbours and being available as a warm and friendly space.

Allotment Club

We have been really blessed with an Allotment plot right here in Ragworth. It needs a lot of work, but we see it’s potential! Not just for growing vegetables, but as a space where we can work side by side and produce something good together. We know that a chat around a table isn’t for everyone and we love that this space allows our community to come together, be together and be useful.

We meet at the Allotment every Thursday from 9.30am till 1pm – Everyone is welcome!

Community Breakfast

On Friday, we have another opportunity just to get out of the house and get to know one another, but this time over breakfast! From 9.30am, breakfast is served and the cuppas are flowing. Our team are available for a chat and they are always happy to pray if you have any needs.

Raggy 4.12

This is our youth group that meets over at The Shack. It runs from 4.45 until 6pm and is open to those in school years 5 to 9. Those who are in Secondary School also regularly join with The Oakwood Youth for Relentless and other special activities – which we just love!

TOAST

On the first Sunday of each month, we gather for TOAST (Time On A Sunday Together). We meet from 10.30am for breakfast (yes we love our food over the The Shack!) and then we go into a time of exploring faith together though singing, praying, sharing life stories and a short talk. We also have children’s activities – this is a time for families to be together as they experience what following Jesus looks like.
